![]() ![]() People saw me coming and welcomed me, he thought. When I had my sheep, I was happy, and I made those around me happy. He wept because God was unfair, and because this was the way God repaid those who believed in their dreams. But the marketplace was empty, and he was far from home, so he wept. He had never even wept in front of his own sheep. Upon having his money stolen by a thief (39) He was so ashamed that he wanted to cry. (32) “The secret of happiness is to see all the marvels of the world, and never to forget the drops of oil on the spoon.” You just have to read the omens that he left for you.” God has prepared a path for everyone to follow. (29) “In order to find the treasure, you will have to follow the omens. There was nothing to hold him back except himself. (28) The boy felt jealous of the freedom of the wind, and saw that he could have the same freedom. (27) For her, every day was the same, and when each day is the same as the next, it’s because people fail to recognize the good things that happen in their lives every day that the sun rises. (114) “When a person really desires something, all the universe conspires to help that person to realize his dream.” (22, 40) “When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you achieve it.” It prepares your spirit and your will, because there is one great truth on this planet: whoever you are, or whatever it is that you do, when you really want something, it’s because that desire originated in the should of the universe. The King of Salem explaining the mysterious force (22): “It’s a force that appears to be negative, but actually shows you how to realize your Personal Legend. But, as time passes, a mysterious force begins to convince them that it will be impossible for them to realize their Personal Legend.” They are not afraid to dream, and to yearn for everything they would like to see happen to them in their lives. At that point in their lives, everything is clear and everything is possible. (21) “Everyone, when they are young, knows what their Personal Legend is. “It’s this: that at a certain point in our lives, we lose control of what’s happening to us, and our lives become controlled by fate. (18) “What’s the world’s greatest lie?” the boy asked, completely surprised. Everyone seems to have a clear idea of how other people should lead their lives, but none about his or her own. If someone isn’t what others want them to be, the others become angry. And then they want that person to change. (15-16) When someone sees the same people every day… they wind up becoming a part of that person’s life. (15) “It’s the simple things in life that are the most extraordinary only wise men are able to understand them.” (11) It’s the possibility of having a dream come true that makes life interesting. Maybe we’re all that way, the boy mused. They don’t see that the fields are new and the seasons change. The problem is that they don’t even realize that they’re walking a new road every day. The world was huge and inexhaustible he had only to allow his sheep to set the route for a while, and he would discover other interesting things. He had never been to that ruined church before, in spite of having traveled through those parts many times. (10-11) Whenever he could, he sought out a new road to travel. And this past December, that intention was fulfilled. I just wonder why, instead of believing in supreme beings or cosmic forces, we don’t believe a little bit more in ourselves. From that point several years ago, I made an intention to read it. Whatever works for each one of us is fine.Įverybody has to believe in something. If you choose to believe that if you pray to god that something will or won’t happen, and it works for you, that’s fine by me. If you choose to believe that just by wishing something very much you’re gonna get it, and it works for you, that’s fine by me. Wishful thinking doesn’t work.ĭon’t get me wrong. It’s no good to want something and wait at home wishing for it badly. If you fall, you get up again, over and over. And that means that you must work you ass off, and have a plan, and follow it until the end, no matter what. I am convinced that this wishful thinking stuff is just a figure of speech, a much shorter way of saying that when you want something bad you must use all means at your disposal to get it. Do you really think that Madonna has wished her way to success? It doesn’t matter how much you wish for something, if you don’t open up to the possibilities and work hard for it, you’re not gonna get it. As if what she has achieved was down to “the universe” and wanting it so badly instead of working her ass off. It pisses me off when she says things like that. You don’t get to be like this by wishing, Madonna ![]()
